Obiettivi

The project "EU Matters" is guided by several key objectives aimed at enhancing education about the European Union (EU):

- Improved Knowledge: The project seeks to enhance teachers' understanding of the EU's functioning, institutions, and dynamics through training and resources. This knowledge transfer will result in more informed students and an accurate portrayal of the EU in their education.
- Better Teaching: By equipping teachers with new teaching methodologies focused on EU matters, the project aims to make lessons more interactive, engaging, and effective. This approach enhances the overall quality of education on EU topics.
- Future Preparation: Educating students about the EU ensures they are well-prepared for their future roles as informed citizens. An improved understanding of the EU's role in the global society equips students with valuable insights for navigating international contexts.

Attività

Activity 1: Development of the European Union Education Module.

In this phase, a comprehensive training module will be developed, covering various aspects of the European Union, including its history, institutions, functioning, policy formulation processes, decision-making mechanisms, and the envisioned future of the EU. The aim is to enhance educators' understanding of EU matters and provide them with tools to create engaging learning activities.

Activity 2: Development of Effective Teaching Methodologies for EU Education.

This activity focuses on identifying and implementing effective teaching methodologies to deliver EU education in an engaging and efficient manner. Educators will learn various teaching approaches, integrate multimedia and digital tools, and adapt methodologies to meet the needs of different types of students.

Activity 3: Collaboration, Testing, and Student-Centered Approach.

In this phase, collaboration among educators is promoted, and developed methodologies and materials are put to the test. Educators will have the opportunity to share their experiences and engage with industry experts. Methodologies will be tested in real teaching situations, contributing to their optimization.

Activity 4: Cultural Exploration and Student-Centered Approach.

This phase aims to involve students in enriching and engaging learning experiences. Students will have the opportunity to directly experience EU education through a hands-on approach. This will foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of EU values and mechanisms.

In summary, the "activities" of the "EU Matters" project constitute a structured approach to enhancing European Union education through the development of modules, teaching methodologies, and engaging experiments. The ultimate goal is to equip educators and students with a comprehensive understanding of the EU and its role in the global society.

Risultati

The project aims to enhance EU education in schools and VET providers by improving teachers' understanding of the EU, offering structured training on EU subjects, and enabling them to integrate EU content into their teaching. This will lead to better-informed students, engaging teaching methodologies, and the development of a European identity among students. The project offers training proposals, individual/group courses, and resources to empower teachers to effectively teach EU matters and promote cooperation among European countries.
